THE VICTIMS: His neighbors, the Wilson family of Cumming, Georgia
Alan pulled off this prank perfectly. "He took a big wild mushroom," S. Wilson says, "and spray-painted it bright red. Then he secretly planted it in our flower bed. It took us two days to notice it, and, stunned by its beauty, we took a picture and told the kids not to touch it. We were afraid it might be poisonous. When Alan's daughter came over and touched it, our kids got all upset. That's when Alan came over hee-hawing about the whole thing."THE REACTION: "We all got a big laugh out of it--especially when we found out our other neighbors got a blue one!"
