Framed out of a cardboard box that slides neatly under a bed and filled with the latest in recycled furniture, this ranch-style home can be easily custom built to suit your kids' tastes. In lieu of a down payment, you need only to save up on building supplies, such as small boxes, egg cartons, plastic caps, paper clips and any other household objects your child can transform into mini appliances and fixtures. We'll take you on a room-by-room tour, walking you through directions for re-creating some of our favorite features.
