clip style Mini clips are showing up everywhere from the playground to TV's Give your child a handful and watch her create some crazy clip art of her own.

STYLE PREP
Choose from glow-in-the-dark ones, fairies and bunches of butterflies in a rainbow of colors (approximate price: $2 to $4 for a pack of six to eight clips).

TURNING HEADS
Anything goes with these clips, so kids can really use their imaginations. For chin-length or shorter hair, try pulling small sections of front clips hair back into many tiny clips to form a "headband" of clips. You may want to dampen hair with water or gel beforehand. For longer hair, make a thin braid on each side of your child's face using the hair in front of her ears, fasten each end with a ponytail holder, then perch butterfly clips along the braid (see photo). To turn this style into Cassidy's favorite—the butterfly halo à la Drew Barrymore in the movie EVER AFTER—connect the braids to each other at the back of the head.
