Princess in a Box

Fantastic adventures from FamilyFun
Princess in a Box Here's an enchanting activity that will let your child play princess for a day: a customized dress-up kit. First, you'll need a frothy formal gown. If you don't have an old bridesmaid's or prom dress in the back of your closet, check with grandparents and friends, or browse the racks at a thrift shop or garage sale. Add a pair of glittery but dated high heels, lacy gloves and an evening purse. Of course, no princess would be seen without jewels--the incentive you need to untangle the costume jewelry cluttering the top of your dresser. Layer the gown and accessories in a large gift box decorated with shiny paper and glitter glue. Top it off with a silk corsage. For a nice touch, play a little waltz music when her highness is ready to greet her audience.
