"I don't think she ever bought a lunch," says Cathy's mom Marilyn of her daughter, who is now in college. "She really got into the extra money. More importantly, the system stopped any disagreement over what to eat for lunch."
A great bonus was Cathy's interest in meal planning and preparation. "She was always in the recipe books looking for things she could take," says Marilyn, "and by the time she was in high school, she was making our dinners."
