I like to save clean tin cans with interesting labels--and any jagged points bent safely down--to fill with candles, colored pencils, paintbrushes, markers, found feathers and dried flowers. (Don't use them for food or candy.) If you need a top for your can, try the plastic lid from Hershey's syrup. If there's a chance the can will get wet, you might considerately paint the bottom rim with clear nail polish so it won't leave a rusty ring on a white windowsill.
