Nine-year-old Jacob Berti of Old Hickory, Tennessee, can't hide his feelings -- that most valentines are a bit too lovey-dovey. His camouflage solution turns card giving into a covert operation with an easy-to-spot message of friendship.

  • Light-colored card stock or paper
  • Glue stick
  • Marker

  1. Cut a large heart from the camouflage paper and a smaller one from the lighter paper. (Ours measure 5 1/2 inches and 3 1/2 inches across.) Or use our template.

  2. Glue the hearts together and add your message.
