Carton Cuties
Made from an egg carton, these curly butterflies are especially charming swaying above an Easter basket or a house plant.
- Materials

- Mod Podge or white glue
- Plastic egg carton
- Colored tissue paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Black card stock
- Tacky glue
- Clear tape
- 18-gauge aluminum wire

Brush Mod Podge (or watered-down white glue) onto a section of a plastic egg carton and cover it with torn pieces of colored tissue paper. Seal the paper with another coat of Mod Podge and let it dry. -
Use a pencil to draw a four-lobed butterfly shape centered between two carton cups, as shown (we used a marker for clarity), then cut it out with scissors.

For antennae, fold a thin strip of black card stock in half, then curl and trim the ends into points. Attach the antennae with tacky glue. With clear tape, mount your butterflies to lengths of the wire.
