Stick on the stars and planets and add fabric paint swirls and aliens.

Cut two identical rocket shapes from craft foam. Decorate one side of each with fabric paint. Let dry. Wrap about 4 inches of a 10-inch length of wire around the wire frame at the top of the shade. Wrap the rest around a marker to create a spiral. Loosen the spiral and make a small loop at the end. Glue the rocket halves to either side of the loop, painted sides out.
