Heart-Shaped Animal Masks
- Total Time Needed:
- 1 Hour
Love can come in many disguises, but none will be as adorable as these animal masks. (At the heart of each mask is a heart!)
- Materials
-
- Poster board
- Scissors
- Glue
- Tongue depressor or paint stirrer
- Instructions
-
-
Using a sheet of poster board, cut out two heart shapes large enough to cover a child's face. To make sure they're the same size, use the first cut-out as a guide to trace the second cut-out. Next, cut eyeholes in each, making sure the holes line up when you press the two pieces together.
-
Glue the two pieces together, sandwiching a tongue depressor or paint stirrer between them.
-
Using this basic shape, add elements to make various animal masks. To make a dog mask, for example, trace your child's shoes and cut them out to make floppy ears. A small heart makes the nose, a spot goes around the eye and a tongue completes the look.
-
Don't forget to inscribe an endearment on the opposite side.
