This clever construction does triple duty for winter sports. It would also come in handy during a cutting-edge skate party.

  • 2 by 4 board, cut to 6 feet long
  • Drill with 1/8-inch and 1/2-inch bits

Instructions
  1. Multitasking Bench, Goal & Carrier - Step 1 Following the diagram, measure and cut the boards, drill 1/8-inch pilot holes, and assemble the bench. (Note: The corner holes on top should be at least 3 inches from the end so they don't overlap the side-rail screws.) Using the 1/2-inch bit, drill a hole about 2 inches from the bottom of each leg for the carrying rope.

  2. Multitasking Bench, Goal & Carrier - Step 2 Paint the bench if desired. When it's dry, thread the rope through the holes from the outside. Cut it to a length that's comfortable for carrying and knot it securely.
