Our Elfin Family
- Total Time Needed:
- 1-2 Hours
Assemble your family into a lineup of Santa's little helpers with this festive paper doll project.
- Materials
-
- 8 1/2- by 11-inch sheet of green card stock
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Photo faces (ours were printed out at about 1 1/2 inches in diameter)
- Colored paper (red, green, white)
- Hole punch
- Decorative-edge scissors
- Clear tape
- Instructions
-
-
Fold an 8 1/2- by 11-inch sheet of green card stock in half widthwise (1 sheet makes 2 elves). Draw an elf shape on one side, as shown below (or download our template). -
Cut out both layers without snipping the fold so you'll have 2 elves holding hands.
-
When you have all the pairs you need, use a glue stick to add the photo faces.
-
Cut out paper pieces for clothes (we used hole punch circles for buttons and pom-poms, and strips cut with decorative-edge scissors for trim) and glue them in place.
-
Finally, attach the pairs by linking the elves' hands with clear tape.
