The Perfect Dollhouse

A homemade miniature villa from FamilyFun

Bathroom

bathroom We chose an art deco look here, with a tile floor and border (cut from foam trays), blue straw fixtures, and a hair mousse cap "trash basket."

Toilet:

For the tank, paint a soap box white and cut a toilet round hatch-style opening in the front to serve as a toilet seat cover. Screw a brass cup hook into the side and wrap a strip of tissue paper around it. For a toilet, cut the top from an individual-size plastic juice carton and invert it. Glue the tank and the toilet onto a base of thin cardboard cut to fit.

Bathtub:

Cut the lid off a painted tea box leaving 1/2-inch flaps all tub around to form the bathtub rim. For plumbing fixtures, insert the end of a snipped flexible straw "faucet" into the rim at the head of the tub. Then install pushpin "faucet handles" on both sides.

Bathroom Sink:

Set a tea box on end. Cut off and discard the top half. sink Turn the lower half upside down. On the box bottom, trace around a plastic bottle cap, cut out the circle, and then fit the cap into the hole for a sink. Make a hole in the box behind the sink and insert a snipped flexible straw faucet. Add pushpin faucet handles.
