Observation Bucket
Another way to get a good look at those little water creatures you see with your homemade waterscope is to scoop them into this handy homemade tank.
- Materials

- 2-liter soda bottle
- Electrical tape
- String

To make one, cut the top off a clear 2-liter soda bottle. Tester's tip: To protect little fingers, cover the cut edges with electrical tape.

Punch 2 holes opposite each other, 1 inch down from the top of the bottle. Tie the ends of a length of string to the holes for a handle.

Fill the bucket with water from the area you want to examine. Use the cut-off top of the bottle, capped, to scoop up additional creatures. When you're done looking, return them to their home.
