Wrist Wraps

Total Time Needed:
1 Hour

These custom-fit bracelets come fresh from the produce department. Ours are made with green hook-and-loop bands used to wrap heads of lettuce, but if your supermarket doesn't use these, get some hook-and-loop cable tie wraps at an office supply store.

Materials
  • Hook-and-loop produce bands or cable tie wraps
  • Scissors
  • Colored plastic tape or electrical tape
X

Instructions
  1. To make a bracelet, wrap the band around your wrist and trim it so there is about an inch of overlap.

  2. Wrist Wraps - Step 2 Wrap short strips (1 to 2 inches long) of colored plastic tape or electrical tape around the band. So that the band can be fastened, leave an inch unwrapped on the underside of one end and the top of the other.

  3. Wrist Wraps - Step 3 To create a zigzag pattern, wrap the tape diagonally around the band, alternating the direction with each color. For a layered look, wrap tape strips diagonally in the same direction around the band, then fold tape lengthwise over the edges.
