Create a Guide to Your Hometown

Write the book on your corner of the world

by Lisa Stowe
Building Your BinderAs you assemble your guide, don't forget to:

Personalize It
--Make sure your artists sign and date their drawings --Use snapshots from different times of the year to show how your town changes with the seasons

Add To It
--Place a few blank pages at the back of the binder for visitors to log their own comments about their time in your town --Carry a camera or a notepad when heading to a new place: you never know when you might discover a new subject for your binder!

Adorn It
--Dress up pages or pockets with decorative trim, scrapbooking supplies, or other craft materials --Add dimension to your pages by mounting items on adhesive foam dots (available in the scrapbooking section of craft stores)

Make It Easy To Use
--Establish a rating system (such as 1 to 5 stars) for things like restaurants and beaches, or include family members' handwritten reviews --Mount items with adhesive Velcro dots to make them removable
