Dice Walk"This is a great way to explore a place you know really well, but in a totally new way," says experimental artist Keri Smith, author of "How to Be an Explorer of the World." "It's a way of making a new pathway."

This idea is excerpted from Keri's book "The Guerilla Art Kit" (Princeton Architectural Press, 2007).

Instructions
  1. Dice Walk - Step 1 Download the die template and assemble it. (You can also tape hand-drawn arrows, with lines to indicate the bottom of each, to a store-bought die.)

  2. Dice Walk - Step 2 Go somewhere suitable for a stroll. Roll the die every time you come to an intersection, side street, or byway. The solid line on the die's face always indicates the bottom (or the position of your body).

  3. Head in the direction closest to the direction indicated on the die.
