Dinosaur Stomp
- Total Time Needed:
- 1-2 Hours
Grow big, funny dino (or dragon, or lizard) feet in mere minutes. Reptile wannabes can be in charge of painting on the colorful skin.
- Materials
-
- tissue boxes
- duct tape
- paint
- kitchen sponge
- tacky glue
- Instructions
-
-
You'll need two empty tissue boxes with top openings. Use duct tape to reduce the size of the opening and to reinforce the ankle area, as shown. -
Cover the exposed duct tape inside the box with more tape.
-
Have your child paint the boxes. Let them dry.
-
Cut six triangular claws from a kitchen sponge (dampening the sponge slightly will make it easier to cut).
-
Adhere the claws to the box with tacky glue. Let it dry before your little T. rex goes for a stomp.
-
- Tips:
Need a song to stomp along to? We nominate Laurie Berkner's "We Are the Dinosaurs." You can find it on The Best of the Laurie Berkner Band.
