This sweet kid-art display is also a functional spot to hang all the stuff you need to grab as you go -- everything from backpacks to dog leashes to reusable totes for the supermarket. Your little Picassos can customize canvases with portraits and pictures that serve as guides to what goes where.
- Materials
-
- 8- by 10-inch pre-primed stretched canvas (ours cost $6.50 at Michaels)
- 4 white 1/2-inch screws
- 2 single robe hooks
- Drywall anchor screws (or appropriate anchoring hardware for your walls)
- Instructions
-
-
Decorate the canvas (we used crayons and watercolors, plus marker for outlines).
-
With the 1/2-inch screws, attach the hooks through the canvas's lower corners into the wood frame.
-
Insert the anchor screws through the top corners and the wood frame until their tips protrude out the back. Use them to mark the placement of the anchor holes.
-
Install the anchor screws or hardware, then attach the canvas firmly to the wall.
