Gift cards, like fruitcake before them, have become a staple of the holiday season -- albeit a welcome one. But even this common gift can be something special when it's presented in a festive envelope recycled from an old holiday card.

Materials

• Old holiday card
• Scissors
• Craft foam

• Toothpick
• Tape or glue dots

Instructions

1. Cut the shape shown from a card (or download our template). Place the card on a soft surface, such as a piece of craft foam, and use a toothpick to score fold lines as shown.

2. Fold the envelope, then place the card inside and seal the edges with tape or glue dots.
