Give Art a Whirl
A "My Great Idea" from FamilyFun
We love using our salad spinner to make spin art and took the technique a step further to create Thanksgiving decorations. We placed a paper plate in the spinner, added water-based paint in seasonal colors, and gave it a spin. The resulting streaks of color looked like the feathers of a turkey, so we attached a brown-paper body and used pipe cleaners to make the beak, wattle, and legs.
