Goodnight Moon Pumpkin Carving Pattern

Goodnight Moon Pumpkin Carving Pattern This pumpkin has flipped its lid! Instead of a hole on top, it has one cut in the back--big enough for scraping out the insides and putting in a candle. To make the orange moon glow, don't cut all the way through the pumpkin. Instead, outline the moon by cutting 1/8 to 1/4 inch into the pumpkin and peeling away the outer skin with a spoon, a sharp vegetable peeler or a putty knife. To give the stars depth, cut them at an angle, so that candlelight reflects off the walls of the shape.
