Gourd-eous Gobblers
A "My Great Idea" from FamilyFun
For Thanksgiving two years ago, my daughters, Hadley and Olivia, then age two, and I turned some gourds and jack-be-little squashes (left over from Halloween) into turkey place cards for the table. I glued construction paper tracings of my girls' hands together in sets of three or four to make tail feathers and wrote the names of our dinner guests on each set. After we glued on the tail feathers, Hadley and Olivia added construction paper eyes, beaks, wattles, and feet.
