Collage Switch Plate

Flick your switches up a notch with colorful collage art.
- Materials

- Switch plate
- Scissors
- Old magazines, candy wrappers, comics, and photos
- Postage stamps
- Glue
- Paintbrush
- Instructions

Cut out images to cover a switch plate. Then arrange the pieces until they are just right, leaving the openings for the screws and switch clear.

Set the collage aside and stir up a mixture of three parts white glue and one part warm water.

With a soft paintbrush, coat the back of each cutout before mounting it on the plate (the glue mixture will look white when applied, but don't worry, it dries clear. Apply a final layer of the sticky stuff when the collage is complete.

For pieces that extend over the edge, fold them under the plate to prevent them from curling up. If curling persists when the glue is dry, apply a second coat or fold strips of clear tape along the edges of the plate.
