Linda Salter of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, devised an artful way of preserving the dust jackets from her boys' cherished picture books: she turned them into a wall hanging for their playroom.

- Wooden dowel
- Old book covers/sleeves

After laying out the book jacket design, she transferred it facedown onto a length of clear Con-Tact paper, leaving 4 inches at the top to wrap around a wooden dowel.

She placed a second length of Con-Tact paper on top, then tied a length of string to the ends of the dowel for hanging.
