"Our family loves stargazing," says FamilyFun reader Ruth Spiro of Deerfield, Illinois. "After all, it's an excuse to stay up past bedtime. But we sometimes wondered if the twinkling light we were watching was Polaris, or just a passing plane."
The Spiros' celestial mystery was solved when they
picked up the children's version of David H. Levy's Guide to the Stars, a spin-style chart that illustrates the constellations that are visible on an hourly basis for every night of the year. "We brought it along on our vacation and found a perfect viewing spot for the Perseid meteor shower," says Spiro.
