Want to add zip to basic pigtails? Try this zigzag part gilded with hair glitter gel that washes out.
STYLE PREP
All you'll need, besides a comb and pigtail fasteners, is a bottle of glitter hair gel. It comes in several colors (we used GlimmerLooks by L.A. Looks in gold, about $6).
TURNING HEADS
To make a zigzag part in your child's hair, start with wet hair. Begin at the forehead

(at a point in line with the middle of the right eyebrow) and use a comb to part the hair in a line over to a point above the middle of the left eyebrow. Continue zigzagging as far back as you like. Ask your child to hold the sections for you each time you switch direction. When you're done zigging, secure her pigtails and prepare to add sparkle! Gently squirt some glitter gel onto the part and spread with your finger (or dip a cotton swab into the glitter gel and paint over the part until it's completely filled in). The finished look: dazzling.
