Mohawk Helmet

Total Time Needed:

Let your kid jazz up his standard headgear with a spiky new 'do. A couple of small bells add pizzazz.

Materials
  • Duct tape
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Small bells
  • Pom-poms
  • Tacky glue

Instructions
  1. Cut two 1/2-inch-wide, 16-inch-long strips of tape. Anchor the tips of each strip to the back side of the helmet about 1 inch apart.

  2. Mohawk Helmet: Step 2 Carefully stick the remaining tape onto the helmet, placing the pipe cleaners underneath at 1-inch intervals, as shown. When you reach the front, secure the tape ends under the helmet's brim.

  3. Secure some jingle bells onto the ends of the first and last pipe cleaners. Affix the pom-poms with drops of glue to the remaining pipe cleaners, and then bend all of them upright.
