Paper Menorah Garland

Total Time Needed:
1-2 Hours

Here's a paper garland for Hanukkah that also makes a fun party craft. Younger kids may want a grown-up to cut while they stick to decorating.

Materials
  • 2 pieces of paper, each 32 inches long and 8 inches high
  • Pen
  • Scissors
  • Iron
X

Instructions
  1. Start with two pieces of paper, each 32 inches long and 8 inches wide. (We used Matte Roll Wrap paper made by DMD Industries, although wrapping or craft paper also works well.

  2. On the first piece, use a 4-inch accordion fold to create four folded edges. Sketch half a menorah on the top layer as shown, left (stem facing the fold).

  3. Cut through all the layers, being sure not to cut the outer edge, which keeps the menorahs attached. This makes four menorahs. Cut another four from the other piece of paper.

  4. Iron the menorahs flat, then tape the sets together.

  5. Next, kids can decorate the menorahs and "light" the candles with tissue paper, wired ribbon, glitter, star stickers, or anything else they like.
