Paper Snowflake

Inside every plain piece of paper is a unique snowflake just waiting to take shape -- all it requires is a little imagination, a few folds, and a couple cuts.
- Materials

- Paper
- Scissors
- Craft knife (optional)
- Instructions

Fold a paper square in half diagonally to form a triangle. The larger the square, the easier it will be to cut. -
Fold the triangle in half. -
Fold the top third of the triangle partway down, as shown. -
Fold the bottom third up over the first and flatten the creases. -
Flip the paper over and cut along the edge, trimming off the points. -
Draw a design on one side of the triangle; experiment with your own or click here to download a template with 5 designs. -
Cut it out, being sure to keep some of the folded edges intact, and unfold. Some cuts may require a craft knife (a parent's job).
