Paper Snowflake

Paper Snowflake
Total Time Needed:
30 Minutes or less

Inside every plain piece of paper is a unique snowflake just waiting to take shape -- all it requires is a little imagination, a few folds, and a couple cuts.

Materials
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Craft knife (optional)

Instructions
  1. Paper Snowflake - Step 1 Fold a paper square in half diagonally to form a triangle. The larger the square, the easier it will be to cut.

  2. Paper Snowflake - Step 2 Fold the triangle in half.

  3. Paper Snowflake - Step 3 Fold the top third of the triangle partway down, as shown.

  4. Paper Snowflake - Step 4 Fold the bottom third up over the first and flatten the creases.

  5. Paper Snowflake - Step 5 Flip the paper over and cut along the edge, trimming off the points.

  6. Paper Snowflake - Step 6 Draw a design on one side of the triangle; experiment with your own or click here to download a template with 5 designs.

  7. Cut it out, being sure to keep some of the folded edges intact, and unfold. Some cuts may require a craft knife (a parent's job).
