Picabo Sweet

Dressed in candy-colored outerwear and a jaunty ski cap, this racer (and her pals) pulls off some tasty moves on the resort's packed-powder trails.

Materials
  • 2 Kit Kat bars
  • Toothpicks
  • 4 pieces of licorice twist, plus two small slices
  • 3 jelly beans
  • 2 large gumdrops, various colors
  • Royal icing
  • Pastel mint nonpareil
  • Mini marshmallow
  • Fruit leather (optional)

Instructions
  1. Lay down two Kit Kat bars as skis. To make each leg, poke a toothpick through a short length of licorice and a halved jelly bean and into the top of each ski, being sure to leave a tiny bit of toothpick sticking out at the top of each leg.

  2. Attach a gumdrop on top of the legs to make the body. Using a toothpick, add another gumdrop for the head. With icing, glue on the nonpareil hat and its marshmallow pom-pom.

  3. For each arm, thread a short licorice length and a jelly bean onto a toothpick and poke it into the body. Add ski poles made from toothpicks and the licorice slices. If desired, bundle up your skier with a fruit leather scarf.
