Plywood Goalie

Plywood Goalie
Total Time Needed:
2-3 Hours

This practice backboard, an idea sent to FamilyFun magazine by the Letos of Pinellas Park, Florida, not only saves your fence from flying soccer balls, but helps your kids develop their kicks, too.

Materials
  • Existing fence
  • Sheet or large scraps of plywood
  • Brackets and rods or other hardware for attaching backboard to fence
  • Red and white paint and paint brush
X

Instructions
  1. Assemble scraps of plywood, or cut a sheet to the desired shape of the backboard. Use the photo as an example.

  2. Attach the plywood using brackets and rods or any other method, such as wire, which will hold the plywood securely to the fence.

  3. Use paint to customize the backboard, adding details like a goalie, scores, etc.
