My eight-year-old daughter wants to make Valentines for all her friends, but we don't want to spend too much time or money. Any ideas?

Ah, the joys of being popular! Nowadays, technology makes it relatively easy to mass-produce customized cards. Your daughter might, for example, design and decorate her own Valentines postcards and print them up at your local copy shop. Just divide an 8 1/2-by-11-inch sheet of paper into four postcards, have her draw, paint or collage to create four different designs, then color copy them (about $1 per copy, so each postcard runs you about 25 cents apiece) and cut them apart.
