String of Paper Petals

Create a trademark of Hawaiian hospitality with these colorful paper leis.
- Materials

- Muffin-pan liners
- Scissors
- Tissue paper
- Embroidery needle
- Yarn

For each flower, flatten 1 or 2 muffin-pan liners and trim the edge of each to create petal shapes.

Cut a round center out of the bottom of another liner and leaves from green liners or tissue paper. Make a dozen or so flowers.

Thread an embroidery needle with a strand of yarn long enough to create a loop that fits loosely over your child's head.

String on each flower, starting with the leaves followed by the petal layer and center, spacing them evenly along the strand.

Tie the ends together.
