Toddler Trinket Holder
- Total Time Needed:
- 2-3 Hours
Ages: 18 months and up
Little kids are crazy about little things -- all those small toys, nature souvenirs, and goody-bag treasures that seem to multiply overnight. You're probably less crazy about having them underfoot. Try giving that collection some direction -- and your tot a fun sorting project -- with a set of see-through pockets made from a shoe bag organizer. Cutting the organizer in half eliminates hard-to-reach top rows, while colorful labels help alleviate what-goes-where confusion.

-
To start, cut a 24-pocket shoe organizer in half horizontally, so you have 2 panels with 12 pockets each.
-
Cover the cut edge of the lower half with duct tape front and back, then punch holes for hanging. Attach pictures of toys and other treasures to the pockets. -
Finally, use screws or hooks to hang the organizers at toddler height, either side by side or in convenient locations throughout your house.
