Drawing the body in motion is challenging even for seasoned artists. Our movable template lets kids pose and then trace their mini selves in countless, proportional action poses.

Materials

• Action figure template (download here)
• Card stock
• Scissors

• Hole punch
• Small paper fasteners
• Marker

Instructions

1. Download and print the 12 body template shapes onto card stock. Cut them out and punch holes where indicated.

2. Assemble the figure with the paper fasteners.

3. Pose the body dancing, say, or playing ball or diving, then lay it on a piece of paper and trace around it.

Tips:

To make the template as flat as possible (which makes it easier to trace), use the smallest paper fasteners you can find. We got ours in the scrapbooking section of a craft store.
