Few things can warm up a winter landscape like a snowman. Made of packable snow, a carrot, a couple
of charcoal briquettes and a spare scarf and hat, a snowman is a perfect backyard buddy for your child--ready to play on the coldest of days. And few friends are as easy to make. Of course, the snow conditions must be right. If you can make a tight snowball, you've got perfect snowman-making conditions. After rolling (start with a canteloupe-sized snowball and roll it in all directions, packing it as you go) and stacking the three traditional balls, the real fun begins.
