Tennis Ball Parking Pal

Tired of driving into things when you park your car in the garage? Let the kids help fashion a funny face for this little parking attendant, then hang him from the garage ceiling so he will hit your windshield before your car hits the bikes.

To begin, use a pushpin to make 4 starter holes in a tennis ball for the limbs, then twist in a screw eye and remove it to enlarge each hole. Make another hole in the top of the ball but leave in the screw eye for a hanger.

Cut 2 pipe cleaners in half and push the ends into the holes for arms and legs. Cut hands and feet from craft foam, poke the ends of the pipe cleaners through the shapes, and twist the pipe cleaners back on themselves to secure. Decorate with tacky glue, googly eyes, faux fur, and permanent marker. To install, tie a string to the screw eye, park your car where you want it, and stand on a ladder to position the parking pal so he touches your windshield. Then attach the string to the ceiling with another screw eye.
