Luckily, our readers came up with these excellent ways to keep the process running smoothly.Hunt in shifts: For big family events, try this strategy: let the impatient little kids hunt first. When they're done, hide the big kids' loot — make it tougher for them — and let them go to it.
Color code: To ease the pressure on egg hunters, especially the smaller kids, hide candy and toys inside colored plastic eggs and designate one color for each child. The young eggs-plorers can relax and look for their own color with no worries about who's finding the most or least.
Scramble their clues: Assign each child a plastic egg color. Now slip clues that reveal the locale of each child's Easter basket inside his or her eggs. Let's say the clue for the hunter assigned blue is "under a hat in the coat closet." Cut the clue into individual words and slip each one-word paper scrap into a blue egg. Once the hunter gathers all her eggs and arranges the clue's words to make sense she's ready to claim her prize.
