Great Guest Ideas: Crater of Diamonds State Park

Our family went camping in Arkansas at the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The girls loved listening to the coyotes circle the park -- you could hear them talking to each other as they went counter-clockwise. The next day we all went to the diamond field with our hand trowels and mesh screens. We spent several hours digging and washing our finds (probably more hours playing in the water). We never found anything of monetary value, but the girls still have the quartz they found and still ask to go again.
