25 Simple Holiday Gifts

More Help and Information

To find more ideas for simple gifts, see "Activities for the Growing Child" in THE FIELD GUIDE TO PARENTING by Shelley Butler and Deb Kratz, Chandler House Press. Click here for information on how to order.

Whether you would like to help others or are in need of food or gifts for your children over the holidays, there are many agencies that give assistance. To find holiday giving programs near you, call your county social service agency to find agencies in your community that offer help. The United Way is another good resource; it can guide you to the First Call for Help that serves your area, which in turn will give you telephone numbers of agencies that reach out to the community. Go to Unitedway.org to find your local office.
