Hi, I'm Lee Woodruff in the kitchen with Family Fun. Now, don't be deceived by our April Fool's surprise, this sushi platter may look like the real thing but it's actually a candy treat.
You'll need four cups of mini marshmallows, six cups of crispy rice cereal, a quarter cup of butter, about twenty five gummy worms, two boxes of fruit by the foot, a baking sheet, large saucepan, and a kitchen knife. First, melt the butter and then the marshmallows in a saucepan, like I've done. And when they're creamy smooth, like so, remove them from the heat. Next, stir in the rice cereal until it's evenly coated. Then, spread your marshmallow mixture onto a greased sheet and press it down until it's evenly distributed. It's a good idea to grease your hands first. Now, it's time to make some sushi. Position your sheet vertically, like this, and start on one side about an inch from the bottom and place the gummy worms in a horizontal line end to end. Then, gently roll the marshmallow mixture over the gummy worms forming a log. Using a knife, cut away the log and repeat the process until you're done. Then, slice each log into one inch sushi rolls and wrap each with a piece of fruit strip, perfect. Add mashed orange gum drops rolled in sugar for ginger, and you'll have a full sushi platter. Shhh, don't tell the kids!
