This is our first family visit to Florida.
This is currently our second trip to Disney World with our two children.
We've been here probably five or 6 times now.
We've been here about ten times.
We've been here probably, I don't know maybe fifty times in the last ten years or so or more actually, honestly. I think our record is we came, I think, eight times in one year.
Because it's quite obvious you can spend far more money then you intended, but if you're smart you can actually make it a very reasonable trip and have lots of fun in the meantime.
I actually went to the Disney.com website and they were really helpful.
It was very easy to access and check the prices.
The tickets, the different theme parks, how we could get the tickets.
You can check different dates because some dates it is cheaper than others. So I had checked different dates to see which one was most economical.
I mean we save and scrimped back in the old days to be able to afford to come, but we always get annual passes because we found that if you buy an annual pass, if you stay at least eight days out of the year you pay for an annual pass anyway.
Take advantage of that family of four deal that they have where you stay in a value resort and come to the park with your tickets included and your airplane tickets includes and such.
Disney has the economy hotels and the modern hotels and the deluxe hotels.
I went on the website to Disneyworld or Disney.com and I made reservations through there.
You take the transportation from the airport and use all Disney transportation you don't have to pay to park that way, you aren't paying for a rental car.
Bring some water with you because things can get very expensive inside the park.
We brought our own water, few snacks, and, um, ate breakfast before we left.
We purchased the meal plan which had to have saved us lots of money because you get tons of food, more then you could eat.
And you can save money, especially you have teenagers or kids that eat a lot.
And all you have to do is give them the card, its prepaid for, and you don't have to worry about schilling out cash at every corner.
Now with us, when we had an only child, it wasn't quite as economical.
First tip I would have for other families is bring small collapsible strollers and it beats having to pay for one or rent one here.
My advice to others families that come to Walt Disney World would be to rent a stroller. You can rent them for multiple days and it saves you money.
It's a long way to come to suddenly start to save money. Once you decided to come all the way from the UK, or any other country a long way away, I think you've got to go for it and remember the experience.
Yeah we'll be back this summer, and our home base for Disney vacation club is the Beach Club Villas so that's probably where we'll hopefully get to stay.
We have a great time and it's a good value to us. In Disney, wherever we go is a great value.
