Mouse Egg

Hi I'm Lee Woodruff at the craft table with family fun. This cute little egg mouse is this one a collection of critters the kids will have fun making.

You'll need hard boiled eggs, egg dye, plastic cups, paper towels, colored paper, markers, some pom pom and pipe cleaners and scissors and glue. First prepare your egg dye as directed on the package or make your own. Then stand back and let the kids have fun dying them. To make a mouse start with the blue egg cut out blue and pink paper ears and glue them on and with a marker draw the eyes and mouth and for the final touch a pink pom pom makes the perfect nose. To keep our mouse from rolling over we made legs out of pipe cleaners first bend one pipe cleaner into a oval small enough to cradle your mouse and twist it closed the excess becomes the tail. Now cut another pipe cleaner in half and wrap one half around the back of the oval to form the hind legs repeat in the front with the remaining half to form the front legs and here he is. His egg up like a pig in the sheep it just is adorable and easy to make animal critters are an eggcelent craft for Easter or any time
