Need the perfect potion to charm your trick or treaters? I'm Penelope Hsu in the kitchen with disneyfamily.com. Rotten apple punch may look gross, but this gummy worm sweetened cider is wickedly tasty.
You'll need your favorite sparkling apple cider, five half cup containers, we use Pirex glass dishes, red and green food coloring, a punch bowl, and gummy worms. To make the rotten apples pour apple cider into all five small dishes stopping about a 1/2 inch from the top. Add two drops of red and one drop of green food coloring to each dish and stir until the colors have blended. Hang two or three gummy worms around the edge of each dish and place the dishes in the freezer. If you use more than three worms, the rotten apples won't float as well. Freeze until the rotten apples are solid. Be sure to do this the day before serving the punch. Just before serving, slip the frozen wormy apples out of their dishes by setting them briefly in a few inches of warm water in your sink. Float the rotten apples in a large punch bowl filled with sparkling non-alcoholic cider. For added creepiness drape the gummy worms over the edges of your serving bowl. Your guest will be crawling up the walls for another cup. p>
