You'll need cooking spray, 3 tablespoons of margarine, 6 cups of mini marshmallows, red food coloring, 9 cups of rice crispy cereal, plastic bags, yarn, and a heart shaped cookie cutter. To begin lightly coated 10 by 15 inch baking sheet with cooking spray and set it aside. Melt the margarine and a large pot over low heat and add the marshmallows stirring them continuously until they melt. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in drops of red food coloring until the color receives a thumb up from the chef. Add the rice crispy stirring until they're evenly coated with marshmallow, spoon the mixture onto the baking sheet with wax paper or lightly buttered hands smooth out the mixture spreading it to an even thickness. Spray the cookie cutter with cooking spray then cut out the hearts place each heart in clear plastic bag tie on a yarn bow and ready for giving this colorful new twist on classic treat makes a great gift for the classroom or at a Valentine's party.
