Vacation Keepsake

I'm Deb Geigis Berry with Family Fun in the Oceanier Lab on the Disney Wonder. We spent the day at the beach, tomorrow's the final day of the cruise, and we're already in memory making mode. This keepsake craft is a fantastic way to preserve vacation treasures.

To make this vacation keepsake you'll need a large glass fishbowl, enough sand to fill the fishbowl halfway, a beach photo, clear tape, pebbles, beach treasures, scissors, a post card, and a skewer. To start, tape your vacation photo to the inside of the fishbowl. Make sure you tape down all the edges to keep out the sand. Fill the fishbowl with sand until it reaches the top of the photo. Top the sand with beach pebbles. Place your beach treasures where you like. Cut an image from a postcard or calendar, secure it to the skewer with tape and position it in the sand. Though the supplies can be purchased at a craft store, it's much more fun to go beach combing with your kids in search for seashells and rocks.
