Hi I'm Lee Woodruff at the craft table with family fun.
If you're looking for a great place to stash all those valentines goodies for your kids this year our heart basket makes it perfect carry all it's also a great craft for a classroom or Brownie Troop. You only need 4 items colored paper, art template, scissors, and a glue stick. Start by printing two copies of the template from our Web site for a bigger basket enlarge the pattern on the copier like we did fold the colored paper in half and line up the template along the fold then cut along the dotted lines repeat with the other color. Hold the 2 folded halves at right angles like this making sure that bumps on both point away from you. Now here's the tricky part start with the red half and begins threading this strip furthest away from you through the two layers of the pinks strips furthest away then thread the same pink strip through the two layers of the next red strip the second furthest away now the middle red strip comes down through the pink and the pink goes through the next red strip and so forth until the row is done. Now that we woven one pink strip repeat with the remaining pink through red, red through pink, pink through red, red through pink, pink through red be sure to smooth out that each row as you make it and periodic check to make sure your heart opens by the third row the hearts appear again through with the red and through with a pink. You got the hang of it. When you're done just glue on the paper handle your heart's ready to fill with sweet treats.
