This creative twist on freeze tag offers a basic introduction to fire safety.

What You Need

• Players for three teams
• Construction paper (in two colors)

• Tape

Instructions

1. To start, form three teams: fire, trees, and water. Give the fire and tree teams, but not the water team, color-coded armbands (we used construction paper).

2. To play, the trees must stay away from the fire and the fire away from the water. If a fire tags a tree, the tree stays frozen until a water tags her. If a tree gets tagged by a fire three times, it "burns," and the player sits down. If a water tags a fire, the fire becomes a water and removes her armband. Play continues until all of the fires have turned to waters.
