Here's an adorable hair clip your child will have fun wearing or bestowing on a friend this Valentine's Day.

Materials

• Double-sided foam tape
• Plain barrette
• Glue

• Toothpick
• Googly eyes
• Hole punch

Instructions

1. First cut a leaf shape (ours is about 4 inches long) from green craft foam and attach it to the top of a plain barrette with a piece of double-sided foam tape. (To avoid stuck hair, make sure the tape doesn't overhang the edges of the barrette.)

2. Next, cut a 1-inch-wide heart shape from red craft foam and glue it to the leaf. Use a toothpick to apply small amounts of glue to the backs of a pair of googly eyes and to a few small black craft foam dots (use a hole punch for uniform circles) and fix them to the heart. Allow the glue to dry completely before using the barrette.
